Bulk API is multi-gram lyophilized powder the pharmacy weighs and fills itself; it needs net peptide content on the CoA to compound accurately. Pre-weighed vials are filled to a labeled amount under injectable specifications and are the faster route for most 503A pharmacies. Both should come from the same lot-controlled process.

Net peptide content, the number pharmacies miss

Lyophilized peptide carries water and counter-ion (acetate or TFA). A vial labeled 10 mg at 85% net peptide content contains 8.5 mg of peptide. Reputable US suppliers state this on the CoA; many importers do not.

Documentation checklist

CoA with lot number, HPLC purity, LC-MS identity, water content (Karl Fischer) and net peptide content on bulk; endotoxin and sterility on injectable vials; pedigree or transaction statement; SDS; supplier qualification packet on account setup.
